Sharon M. Stabile is a Nurse Legal Specialist who received her degree from Loyola University of Chicago, BSN, Nursing 1979, Wesley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Diploma, 1974, 2 years undergraduate studies in liberal arts at the University of Iowa 1969-1971.
Ms. Stabile has over 8 years nursing experience in the following clinical settings: Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, Medical/ Coronary Intensive Care; Prentice Women's Hospital of Northwestern University, Neonatal Intensive Care; Grady Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, Pulmonary Critical Care Step-down.
In 1980, her risk management career began at Marsh & McLennan Inc. , as a national Quality Assurance and Risk Management Consultant. From 1981-1985, she served as Assistant Director and later Director of Maryland Hospital Education Institute of the Maryland Hospital Association, Quality and Risk Management Project. From, 1985 to 1995, Ms. Stabile was the Director of Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Infection Control, Utilization Management, Safety Management, and hospital-wide coordinator of JCAHO surveys at Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland. 1995-1998, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Risk Management and Claims Coordinator. 1998-2002, Claims Consultant, Princeton Insurance Company. She is also certified in Healthcare Risk Management.
Ms. Stabile is the past editor of the national publication QA/RM Bulletin from the Maryland Hospital Education Institute, 1983-1985.
